PUCÓN, CHILE, November 30 – December 3, 2011

The Fourth International Workshop on Iron and Copper Homeostasis (4IWICH) will be held in the southern town of Pucón, Chile, on November 30 – December 3, 2011. 

This is the fourth occasion in which a select group of 20-24 scientists will meet in a relaxed environment to discuss the biology of metals like Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn, and their interactions in health and disease. Discussions at 1IWICH, 2IWICH and 3IWICH, and interactions that started at them, have contributed to publications that improve our understanding of how metals contribute to such relevant processes like metal essentiality and neurodegenerative diseases. Many fruitful collaborations will likely arise from 4IWICH.

The proceedings of 4IWICH will be published as full papers in a special issue of BioMetals, for which you will be asked to submit a manuscript.

It is our pleasure to extend you an invitation to submit an abstract to this Workshop. Upon acceptance the abstract will be assigned to either podium or poster presentation.
